There is a lot of confusion with the two Simons. Trying to look at the records it appears to me that the Simon who died in 1812 and had the will proved in 1814 is the son, not the
Simon Sr. You can find it many ways on the internet.
22 May 1812 Simon Adamson’s will is signed and witnessed in Jefferson County, TN. His son Jesse T. Adamson co-executor, bequests oldest daughters Elizabeth and Martha, wife Elinor, and younger children. Mentions my place on Lions Creek. Witnessed by Jonathan Adamson. Will Book 2, pages 53 and 54.
