Don't have Elizabeth's last name, but would not be surprised if it is Catharina's sister Elizabeth. Elizabeth died in 1778, Christian was born abt 1778. Belle Greenbaum passed away peacefully in Tucson on Oct. 23, 2003. She was with her children and her friend and caretaker of four years, Beth Navallez. Belle was 91.
Belle and her husband Arnold moved to Safford in the early 1940s from Chicago, Ill. She lived here until she moved to Tucson in 1994, a year after Arnold passed away. Over the 50 years that she lived in Safford, Belle was instrumental in reopening the old Safford public swimming pool where she taught swimming for many summers. She also helped move the Safford Public Library from the old Women's Club building to the Odd Fellows Home. In 1962 she went back to her first love, teaching. She taught English at Safford High School for 10 years before she retired. After retirement, she and Arnold attended Eastern Arizona College, taking classes in creative writing, photography and art. During the summers they traveled and spent many sessions at Elder Hostels all over the western United States. Belle was an avid golfer; she loved to play bridge and grew some of the Gila Valley's most prize-winning roses. Belle is survived by her two daughters, Jeannie Miller and Ilene Wignall; and her son, David. Belle has four grandchildren, Zane and Case Miller, Christopher Fisher and Emma Greenbaum. Belle was an artist, a poet, a photographer, a painter, a sculptor, a teacher and -- most of all -- a friend and a mother.
For those wishing to remember Belle, donations to the Belle and Arnold Scholarship Fund at Eastern Arizona College would be appreciated. | KATZ, Belle (I69)

Florence G. Taylor: Newspaper Obituary and Death Notice
Telegraph Herald (Dubuque, IA) - Tuesday, June 6, 2006
Deceased Name: Florence G. Taylor
PLATTEVILLE, Wis. - Florence G. Taylor, 89, of Platteville, peacefully passed away on Monday, May 29, 2006, at Gray's Nursing Home, Platteville.
A celebration to honor her life will be at 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 24, with recitation of the Kaddish memorial prayer at 7 p.m. Frank and Mary Steck, 1400 N. Second St., Platteville, will be hosting the celebration. The Bendorf Funeral Home, Platteville, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born on Jan. 29, 1917, daughter of William and Gertrude (Kanter) Greenbaum. The youngest of three children, she helped her early widowed mother operate a grocery store in a small Chicago neighborhood. She enjoyed large-city life and the splendor it offered.
She married Samuel Fischler in New York City, and moved with him to Los Angeles. He preceded her in death following 20 years of marriage. She later married Louis Taylor in Galena, Ill., where they lived and operated a business, Taylor House, in a historic mansion. There she applied her accounting skills and belief in personalized customer care to a gift store specializing in fine china and antique glassware. Her hard work and business acumen helped build a cadre of loyal customers from around the world. In 1989, she and Mr. Taylor retired to Platteville, where he died in 1993, and she lived the rest of her life.
Florence delighted in preparing large gourmet feasts for family and friends. It was not unusual to find a cookbook in her hands later in life, even as her eyesight was failing.
Lucky enough to be doted on by two loving husbands, she still encountered many challenges during her life. She was a strong and compassionate woman who faced each difficulty with resilience, grace and an eye-twinkling sense of humor.
Surviving are a nephew, Michael Berg, and wife, Linda, of Bethesda, Md.; a niece, Joanne Brodsky, and husband, Mel, of Potomac, Md.; other nieces and nephews; and close friends, Mary Steck, Marilyn Yoose, Pat and Loretta Thym, Sheila Stephenson and Janet Hunt.
A special thank-you to all the staff at Southwest Health Center and Gray's Nursing Home. Particular thanks to Dr. Sloan, Nancy Swailes, Dean Feldman and Sue Ann Sullivan for their devoted care and compassion. | GREENBAUM, Florence Edna (I63)

For this act of treason, as determined by the Committee of Safety, Phineas Hurd and Benjamin Eastman were arrested on August 22, 1777. Eastman recanted his actions and swore allegiance to the America and was released. Phineas Hurd refused to recant and was jailed. He escaped, how is not known. However, sometime later it was reported to the Captain (his neighbour) that Phineas was at home. The Committee of Safety convinced a friend of the Hurds to get Phineas to meet him. When Phineas appeared, he was taken into custody without the opportunity to speak to his family. They never saw him again. Phineas was however, allowed to contact a family friend, Israel Burritt, and have him tell Anna what had happened. The general opinion of the day was that Phineas was held prisoner on a prison ship moored at the mouth of the North River. On December 31, 1777, the ship mysteriously burned, killing all on board, including Phineas. | HURD, Phineas (I1611)

1807 Jan 13 - John Nease, orphan of Adam, chose George Mowery as guardian. The said George Mowery is appointed guardian to Michael Neese, orphan of Adam.
This shows the two brothers Michael and John both having George Mowery as guardian.
George Mowery is Elizabeth Harpine's second husband after Adam Nehs died. The question is, by orphan, does this indicate that Elizabeth has died also? To me it would seem to be the case. | HARPINE, Elizabeth (I725)
